Polycarbonate De-centred Safety (PC-DS) Lenz

The PC-DS lenses are the the perfect match for the TR-90 frames and the only choice when building superior protective sports eyewear.

Polycarbonate (PC) lenses are safe because they aren't brittle. They won't shatter if they come into contact with flying objects traveling at high speeds with high impact, or upon impact during a collision or fall.

This level of impact resistance assures you the protection you need, knowing that the lens will not shatter into pieces upon impact and thus increase chances of injury to your eyes or face. Since the risk of eye damage is reduced or eliminated, your performance is enhanced due to raised confidence in your safety, allowing you to focus on the task ahead.

Ugly Fish PC lenses are distortion free and provide you with high optical clarity. Clear, sharp vision is a vital ingredient in sports performance, such as participating in motorcycle riding, jet skiing, and cycling where less than 20/20 vision is counter productive.

Anti-Fog Coating

This is a standard feature across the entire Ugly Fish Riderz Range. The Polycarbonate lenses have all been rinsed through an Anti-Fog solution. This force field assures your protection from fog on both sides of the lens.

 

The Riderz Range is available in 4 different frames: Ultimate, Glide, Slim and Cruize to suit your style and features.

You have these available in single lens sets with normal lenses for R400.00 (incl. VAT).

They are also available in a Multi-Lenz or 3-pack which includes a triple lens set (Smoke, Clear and Yellow lens), foam insert and strap, neatly packaged in a sports zip case with microfibre pouch. The price for a Multi-Lenz set is R750.00 (incl. VAT).

The smoke, clear and yellow lenses cater for all conditions - day and night. The detachable foam insert shelters your eyes from wind and dust. The temples are removable with a highly flexible and improved clip system. You can attach the adjustable elastic strap for a more secure fit in sport and other environments.

If you require prescription lenses, you can add a optional RX Optical Gasket at R200.00 (incl. VAT) to your 3-Pack or single lenses. They are available for the Ultimate, Glide, Slim and Cruize frames.

The Riderz Range is also available with Photochromic Polycarbonate lenses which change shade based on the amount of environmental light. This results in a light lens in dark conditions and a dark lens in bright conditions. The Photochromic lenses are available in 2 colour options:

What is Polarization?

Polarization is the intensity of light or glare experienced when light is reflected from smooth surfaces such as water, asphalt, concrete and vehicle or motorcycle windshields. Besides causing an irritation, this glare can also be a safety hazard.

Polarized lenses are used in sunglasses to reduce the glare from these reflective surfaces to improve vision and comfort for workers and riders. They accomplish this feat through a process called polarization, much like a venetian blind controls sunlight through a window.

A highly reflective horizontal surface like a road or lake will produce a lot of horizontally polarized light. The lenses in the polarized sunglasses are fixed at such an angle that only the vertically polarized light is allowed to enter.
