The GlobeScout Company Story
In 2008, Selim ÖZRUH founded GlobeScout with the goal to produce adventure motorcycle equipment. In the first designs, the company focused on aluminium luggage systems.
As a result of Selim's former experience as production manager of ÖZRUH Locking Systems Inc. Co., GlobeScout started in 2009 to produce one of the strongest panniers on the market. ÖZRUH Locking Systems Inc. Co was a three generation family-owned manufacturing business for top quality door and window locking systems.
Bora SALKIM an experienced motorcycle rider and BMW Motorrad Instructor in Istanbul, started as a mechanical engineering trainee at GlobeScout in 2011. After he graduated from Istanbul Technical University, the two mechanical engineers, Selim and Bora became partners.
In 2011 Selim and Bora designed three rally bikes with all the special parts and navigation euqipment for the DAKAR 2012 Rally. During both the DAKAR and the TransAnatolia 2012 rallies, the new designs worked perfectly.
The GlobeScout management team was joined in 2013 by Ümit SALKIM, experienced enduro and rally raid rider and Chief Instructor at BMW Motorrad in Istanbul. With the assistance of Ümit, the design team developed a new concept. The GlobeScout Compact Rally Kit was exhibited at EICMA in 2013. The actual version of the GlobeScout Compact Rally Kit was successfully tested during the TransAnatolia 2014 rally, before the presentation on EICMA 2014.
The success of the GlobeScout hand made adventure equipment has grown and are now available on 4 continents.
The range includes pannier and top boxes in natual, natural anodized and black anodized aluminium with mounting brackets for most of the BMW, KTM, Yamaha and Triumph adventure motorcycles.
